Let's Play With Our Stories, continued . . .
You can do this either by yourself or with a friend.
After the bustle of the Christmas season quieted down, we sat together to look over the various letters and notes we had received in holiday greeting cards. They left us wondering about “the rest of the story” but also made us think of similar stories within our own lives. Take a couple minutes and read through some of these quotes from our cards. What pops into your mind? Do they remind you of an interesting incident in your life? Maybe they will encourage you pick up the phone and share the story with a special friend.
“I got klutzy in the spring, ended up in the hospital with a crooked nose (which the doctor said gave me character), banged cheek bone and scraped arm but no broken bones).”
“I also made a career change after almost 20 years at ….. It is a rewarding and challenging position.”
“At the grand march we were all excited to hear his name announced as the new reigning prom king! So we have been living with royalty for the past seven months!”
“I’m still a team captain for Relay for Life…. We are Team Monkees…”we don’t monkey around, we fight against cancer”.
“I never know what I can expect at 104 years of age. I am not complaining. I feel lucky to have lived so long.”
“He was all set to sit on the side lines and just be an observer. He shouldn’t have brought his camera for no sooner had we arrived than he was recruited to be one of the photographers for the whole convention.”
“Dear Santa, You forgot to sign Isabella’s name to your list. I love you”... (signed with a heart)
